Sean E. Summers represented the Snyder family in Snyder v. Phelps, a landmark Supreme Court case addressing the limits of free speech and the protection of families’ rights during times of personal grief. We advocated on behalf of the family, seeking accountability for the emotional harm caused by offensive speech at a military funeral.
While the Supreme Court ultimately ruled in favor of the defendants, the case reinforced our commitment to representing clients with dedication and compassion, even in highly complex constitutional matters. The experience strengthened our expertise in sensitive litigation involving First Amendment issues, public concern, and emotional distress claims.
